  • Earlier today, Police officers stationed at the entrance of Aso Rock, stopped members of the advocacy group, Bring Back Our Girls Group BBOG, from seeing Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, who they were expecting to see and getting a briefing on measures being taken by the government towards the release of the Chibok girls.

Quoted by a leading member of the group, M Kabrik, Ezekwesili said the barricade by the police was unacceptable
"We do not seek to enter the Villa. We simply want to exercise the right of citizenship to get to the gate of the Villa. We are a civil group and citizens will not allow anyone take us back to where we are coming from.
We will be addressing the Press at the spot where we were stopped, however we must say this is unacceptable"
